Hi everyone!
Seasons Greetings to you and yours!
Hope these past few days have been filled with lots of wonderful family time, delicious holiday meals and some well deserved rest and relaxation.
Last Thursday, my hubby and I flew to NYC and enjoyed a lovely weekend together. What a great city, especially at this time of year. The holiday decorations and store windows were truly amazing.
Other than teaching on Monday (and tomorrow), I’ve enjoyed some time off (which is why you haven’t heard from me in awhile!). Although I haven’t done much training or teaching, I’ve made sure to continue with my my daily workouts. And boy, have they ever been great! I guess all that extra sleep has paid off! I always try my very best to stay on schedule with my workouts and diet, during this time of year. That’s not to say that I don’t indulge somewhat, but I do my best to try not to overdo it. For example, I’ll have ONE piece of dessert vs sampling everything on the table; I’ll sip ONE glass of wine over dinner and switch over to sparkling water when that’s done and finally, I’ll load my plate up with GREENS and TURKEY so that there won’t be much room left for the calorie-busting starches. I know it can be difficult saying no when everyone else is saying yes but when you stop and think about it, it’s just one meal (another meal’s just around the corner!) and you know that you’re only going to feel like crap in the morning. While everyone’s nursing a hangover or food coma, you can take pride in your body and enjoy the best gift of all, good health.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2013 brings you everything you hope for and so much more!
