Sea­sons Greet­ings to you and yours!

Hope these past few days have been filled with lots of won­der­ful fam­ily time, deli­cious hol­i­day meals and some well deserved rest and relaxation.

Last Thurs­day, my hubby and I flew to NYC and enjoyed a lovely week­end together. What a great city, espe­cially at this time of year. The hol­i­day dec­o­ra­tions and store win­dows were truly amazing.

Other than teach­ing on Mon­day (and tomor­row), I’ve enjoyed some time off (which is why you haven’t heard from me in awhile!). Although I haven’t done much train­ing or teach­ing, I’ve made sure to con­tinue with my my daily work­outs. And boy, have they ever been great! I guess all that extra sleep has paid off! I always try my very best to stay on sched­ule with my work­outs and diet, dur­ing this time of year. That’s not to say that I don’t indulge some­what, but I do my best to try not to overdo it. For exam­ple, I’ll have ONE piece of dessert vs sam­pling every­thing on the table; I’ll sip ONE glass of wine over din­ner and switch over to sparkling water when that’s done and finally, I’ll load my plate up with GREENS and TURKEY so that there won’t be much room left for the calorie-​busting starches. I know it can be dif­fi­cult say­ing no when every­one else is say­ing yes but when you stop and think about it, it’s just one meal (another meal’s just around the cor­ner!) and you know that you’re only going to feel like crap in the morn­ing. While everyone’s nurs­ing a hang­over or food coma, you can take pride in your body and enjoy the best gift of all, good health.
