Just thought I’d share an arti­cle which I read last night, while search­ing for some infor­ma­tion on injury pre­ven­tion, spe­cific to run­ning. I have been feel­ing pretty good these days but I fig­ured it couldn’t hurt to try and incor­po­rate some sport spe­cific strength­en­ing exer­cises and stretches. I went through most of them this morn­ing and I was sur­prised at how dif­fi­cult a few of them were for me. It def­i­nitely raised a cou­ple of red flags. One for cer­tain, is that I need to strengthen my glute medius (top of hip/​outer glute area) and calves…big time.

If you’re a run­ner, I rec­om­mend that you give these a go. Remem­ber, the key to any strength­en­ing and stretch­ing pro­gram is consistency!
