Happy New Year everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed some time off from the reg­u­lar rou­tine and had a chance to decom­press, relax and recharge.

I gotta say, there’s noth­ing like sleep to help cure the body’s aches and pains. I never make new year’s res­o­lu­tions because I think they set one­self up for fail­ure, how­ever, I have decided to make sleep a pri­or­ity in 2014. No more stay­ing awake to watch some crappy show instead of get­ting into bed and allow­ing the body to rest. Remem­ber that it’s only dur­ing sleep when our body repairs itself and rebuilds. No mat­ter how hard you work in the gym, if you don’t allow your body to rest and recover, then you’re just wast­ing your time and will never see the results of your efforts.

On another note, I am in the midst of updat­ing my site and have been look­ing for inspi­ra­tion from other fit­ness sites. I must give a shout out to my client, Glo­ria Caballero, who took beau­ti­ful pic­tures of me (com­ing soon) and who is a con­su­mate pro­fes­sional. If you’re look­ing for a won­der­fully cre­ative and expe­ri­enced pho­tog­ra­pher, then please reach out to her. She’s the best!

Any­how, I landed on Tracy Anderson’s site. She is a trainer to the stars.…Gwyneth Pal­trow is one of her big name clients. I don’t know about you, but I think Gwyneth’s body looks like a coat rack. Skinny lit­tle arms and legs, no muscle.…Some of the quotes on this site were enough to make me scream. One of my faves was telling women not to lift any­thing heav­ier than 3 lbs because it’ll make you bulky. What a load of crap! I get so angry when I read stuff like this. Who wants to look a starv­ing child??? You will not look like the incred­i­ble hulk by lift­ing weights. You WILL build beau­ti­ful lean mus­cle and you WILL become strong and fit. Case closed!!! I have been train­ing for many years and I have yet to be mis­taken for a guy. I might be as strong as some but that’s another story!
